


There is no doubt that The Met enjoys one of the best locations in North Cornwall. Not only do we have the best views of the town, harbour and the Camel Estuary but we’re also very proud of our own gardens, which we have been developing over the past few years. Wherever possible, we have used indigenous species and we have a flourishing herb garden, which our chefs take advantage of!
One thing to be said about Cornwall – whatever you want to see or do, you won't be very far from it! As a peninsular jutting out into the sea, Cornwall is surrounded by beaches. It is also an ecological delight, with heaths, moorland, rolling hills, soaring cliffs and quiet meadows, all of which are havens for wildlife and fascinating plant species. Read more...

One of Cornwall’s most famous harbour towns, Padstow is probably best known for its wonderful seafood. Together with a number of wonderful shops to explore, it is also home to the National Lobster Hatchery, which provides visitors a fascinating insight into the hard work required to keep up a sustainable lobster population in Cornwall (and the baby losters are utterly delightful!).
