Private Functions and Special Occasions

It's a family affair!

We have experience in hosting a variety of events at The Met so let us take the stress out of planning for you, so you can relax knowing that everything is in our capable hands. 

In addition to birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, retirement parties and other events, we can also cater for the following:

Christenings:  There is no set format for a Christening celebration, so there are plenty of options.  Whether you want to have an informal finger buffet, so that people can mingle and chat, or a more formal sit-down Sunday lunch – or an Afternoon Tea, we can create something special for you. 

Weddings:  With our superb location, stunning views and Victorian architecture, it would be hard to find a more picturesque wedding venue in Cornwall. Our wedding co-ordinator can work with you to plan your special day, from a fully tailor-made event to special packages for those working to a budget.  The Met is applying for a Civil Licence - so watch this space!

Funerals:  This is always a difficult, stressful time for everyone but we are able to look after your family and friends. We understand that it can be difficult to know how many will be able to stay for something to eat and drink afterwards, so we will be as flexible and helpful as possible.  Our Funeral Gathering brochure provides a few ideas but this is only a guide, so please let us know how we can help.  Click here for details.
